“Pleasant.. Called on Augusta this afternoon. Remained at home during the evening. I think I never had such an earnest desire to see and be in John’s presence as I have this evening  is this love still increaseing (sic)  does he realize how true the love which is his alone. O that the time may come when I can prove to him my fruitfulness..” – Hattie E.F. D.
